Drumroll please....

So, we had our ultrasound today. It went really well. The baby even yawned while we were looking in and that was just the neatest thing. I love to see those little baby hands and toes and... everything really and to hear the ultrasound tech say that everything looks great.
We only encountered one problem. No, it's not what you're thinking, we couldn't get a good look at the baby's face because the baby wouldn't let us. Those hands and arms never budged from being right over the face. The tech had me go to the bathroom--which I was dying to do anyway because they had me drink 20 oz. of fluid and HOUR before the exam and then they pushed on my stomach with the wand thing. Nope, that didn't work. So, she had me lie on my left side. No go. Then she had me lie on my right side. No difference. Looks as though this baby is going to be stubborn.
Oh yeah, did I mention it's a BOY?!?!?
Yeah, I was sure this was a girl. So much for my intuition huh? Now I'm completely clueless on names. Seriously, not a single name. I'd love to hear some suggestions. I don't want a top 10 popular name though, so don't bother with those.
Ryanna was pretty disappointed about the result of the ultrasound and refused to believe that this is the final say. She said, "Well, I think it's still too early to tell. I'm going to wait a little longer and see." I'm sorry to disappoint my sweet, little girl, but we had a pretty clear shot.
I hope this little boy loves sports or he's going to have to learn to love them because I've never seen a child as obsessed with balls as Owen. He's going to love having someone to play with.
And, we get another ultrasound out of the deal because the tech wants to see the face to make sure everything is okay. Yay for us--three ultrasounds with one baby. We are so spoiled.

That's awesome- congrats. Owen needs a little brother! As far as names- I had a hard enough time with a boys name too. Chris had to pick it. I was thinking about Jack or Brady until Chris picked Wyatt.

Congratulations!!! Sorry, I don't have any boy name ideas... those are the more difficult for Ry and I also.

Congrats again! All the ultrasounds of Addysen she had her hand up by her face too...now she still sleeps that way. It's really cute to see those same poses that they do on the inside outside....you know what I mean! Everytime I see her with her little hand tucked underneath her neck, I can't help but think of her ultrasound pics!

I'm so excited for you! He and Owen will be the best of friends. I like the name Kellan. It doesn't fit in with what we've got going on, so we'll never use it though. My sister-in-law just had a little boy and they named him Shaw. Never heard that before. They also have boys named Taiden and Brittan. Anyway, you could always go the Seinfeld route and do something like Soda or Seven!

Congratulations on another boy. This is starting to scare me- first Marielle and now you. I'm so sure that this is a girl, but what if it's not! What's the explaination for the extreme morning sickness? Maybe I'm completely wrong and I am having twins or even the dreaded "fourtletts" as Macey calls quads. Agghhhh!

Congratulations. Both of my kids did the same thing. I didn't complain though. . . like you said more chances to see that little one! Bust out that family history, and find another family name!

Congratulations! Don't worry, I've been wrong on every single one of my kids. I say there's no such thing as mother's intuition, just lucky guessing. After all, you have a 50/50 chance, right?

As for names, I personally like Preston. Otherwise I tend to go for the Biblical boy names, and those are probably mostly too high on the list for you. Except Moses and Methuslah, and well...I don't think you'd go for those. :)

How exciting! We have our ultrasound on the 27th. I think it will be a boy, but Jon has decided it is a girl, in part because we really would like to finish with a boy so he is sure we aren't going to get one! But, I have been right on the other three so hopefully my instincts will serve me once more. Sorry I can't help with any names, we are having battles of our own.

congrats! i am so excited for owen to have a brother, that will be a lot of fun. boy names stumped us as well for a while when we had ethan (and i didn't want a way popular name either and ended up with one by accident...oh well). but i liked cole, we had a friend that just named their boy giles, don't know how you feel about that....i'll keep thinking...

Yay, Petersens! Ryanna will soon be old enough that "boy" won't matter..."baby" will be fun enough. Congrats, too, on ultrasound # 3! (I'm jealous!)

Tyler would have been Westin, Marcus, or Calvin...and I like Leo and Curtis too. Naming was always the WORST...we never, ever knew until we actually SAW themk...so, um, good luck with that!

Congrats! Sorry, no suggestions here, we aren't very good at picking out names for our own kids (kid.)

Congratulations!! That is so exciting! I'm afraid I would be of no help in the baby names department...But I am excited for you anyway.

Yeah! Even though they don't get to wear cute frilly things, they sure are cute in their little shorts and shoes and their cars and the sounds they can make.

As far as names go... We once knew a Hawken. They called him Hawk and it was just the most perfect name. There is also Grayson, Grayer, Miles, Ramsey, Xander, Davis... I'll keep thinking.

I would love to help you with things for your walls. I'm free whenever. Email me and I'll come over.

Yea! Your boys will have so much fun together! I'm still waiting for you to email me your number....

Congrats!

Congratulations...that really is wonderful news!!! Okay, on the names...how about Elroy? It picks up the flavor of your dad's last name, kind of ethnic "El Baby" and it's Pop's middle name. Thanks for the heads-up yesterday...it really made my day! Ryanna is such a great big sister to her brothers. You are doing the "Donna". The oldest was a girl and then two boys. They're awesome!! So, be looking forward to sending at least two missionaries out.

Congrats! When I found out my last was a boy, Kennedy had the same issues. I just really talked up all the girl time alone we were going to get. She was okay, but is really excited to finally be getting a sister. How exciting!

I'm so excited for you to have another little boy. Congratulations.
As far as names go, I agree with most people that boy names are way harder than girl names because there has been so much cross-over (from boy name to girl name). For example- I really like Logan, but it has started being a girl name now.
Someone else said Miles, I really love that name- but can never use it (say it together with my last name and you'll see why).
I have a nephew named Zane, I like that name a lot, but it's becoming more popular lately.
I agree with Lara, I like Preston too (but it might not work too well with your last name).
I also like Ross (now that Friends is behind us).
And I like Jude.
Good luck, I absolutely hate choosing boy names, it was the worst part about those two pregnancies for me. If we have another boy, I don't know what we're going to do about naming him (Jon wants to use Walter- um...no).
I miss you, I'm going to call you soon! :)

Yay! How fun for Owen it will be great to have a team mate. Looks like so far you are following the gender pattern of my parents. I'm afraid I am reserving any boy names I like! wink. Love you-

Congratulations! How exciting, now Owen will have someone to play with.

As far as names, when I was pregnant with Bo I bought a book called the, "The Baby Name Wizard" it's really cool. We didn't end up using a name from it but, it did help one of my friends pick out a name. It also helped us get the creativity going. You can go here, http://www.babynamewizard.com/, rather than buying the book.

I bet Derek is thrilled to have one more guy in the house.

A Boy!! That is too cool! I can't think of any boy names! Coby was hard enough for us to decide AND agree on, but when I do think of one I'll let you know. Congrats!

Congrats! I am excited that we will have 2 boys close in age! I wish we could help you out on the name thing. We only have 6 weeks left and don't have a clue what this boy's name is going to be. Boys names are tough!

That is so exciting! Another boy...boys are fun, and lots of work, that's for sure! I'll have to look over all of the names that we were thinking of again.
