Perpetual Motion

Today was Ryanna's violin concert and she did an excellent job. She played Suzuki's Perpetual Motion which has been quite a tricky song to learn. As you'd guess from the name, it is a bit of a circular song using the A Major scale. She was having problems remembering if she'd played the E ending or the A ending and then moving to the next section, however, she worked incredibly hard this week and put on such a wonderful performance. As you can tell from her teacher's big smile at the end, she was very proud too. I only wish I'd captured her wonderful bow that she does. (I was too excited to clap for her and turned off the camera.)
Please leave your comments for her here and I'll read them to her--she'll be very excited.

I am so impressed!! Ryanna that had to take so much time and patience to learn. Way to go!!
Sorry we weren't at play group we are sharing the car. Unfortunately the shuttle doesn't take him to work. Don't you think we should all have a shuttle that takes our husbands to work? Where's the service when you need it!

Wow, Ryanna! I remember when you were a baby playing with measuring cups...and now you're such a talented big girl playing a long, tough song on the violin!!! Congratulations on your wonderful performance! I hope my little girl can learn to play an intrument as well as you someday! Thank you for sharing your talent with everyone!

Wow Ryanna! I am so impressed....you have done such a good job on your violin! I know that is a pretty hard song!

PS...Audrey, have you ever had her watch Music from the Heart? I bet she'd love it. Perpetual Motion and Allegro especially are played a lot in it.

Ryanna did great! I am amazed that she memorized the whole song. It always amazes me watching little people play instruments!

I love the list on the side of related videos. Almost related right?!

Ryanna!! Great job! I was very impressed by your tone. Each note had good bite and sound. Also, one tiny spot where you almost got off you kept going and got right back on! That is one of the hardest things to do. Keep working on your steady rhythm. Bravo!!

Wow! To be such a great violinist at such a young age! That is really great. I tried to play violin when I was eight years old and after a while, I decided that it was too hard and too much work. You have been doing it for a long time and you are very good at it! Keep up with it and one day you will thank your parents for letting you learn. Great job!
