Family Photos Arizona style

Saturday my friend, Sheri agreed to take some family photos for me. We headed over to Freestone Park which is a beautiful park. I had heard of it, but never been there, however, I definitely plan to go back. Anyway, she brought her camera and her daughter and took a bunch of pictures of our family. Crazily enough, it was a windy day (as you will witness with some of the hair) and it was a bit chilly as well. Being that we have adapted so well to the heat here, that means it was probably like low 70s and we were freezing.
Tell me which of the photos is your favorite of our family. I want to enlarge one and frame it for our wall. Let me tell you, between Ryanna looking anywhere but the camera for most shots and Owen being obsessed with watching the ducks and the water and my hair flying everywhere, it was a miracle that we got anything good. Oh, and yes, that is a bruise on Owen's forehead. Don't ask me, I don't know how it happened.
Remember, please tell me which number is your favorite and why, so I can decide which one is best! That means all of you too who never post comments. Don't try and be sneaky. I know you're reading this and not posting. Obviously the other shots are simply for your enjoyment.

i vote for #2! way cute and the flying hair isn't totally obvious. besides. it's nice to think we have an occasional breeze, and reminds you it was chilly one day. i was freezing this whole weekend.

ok. First. You are gorgeous. second I like number 2. Owen looks adorable and Ryanna is more smiley than in 3. I would like it a little lighter, but not as light as three. Maybe a little photoshoping? They're all great. And I love the individuals and couple shot of you and Derek. What a gorgeous family. I miss you guys.

What a beautiful family!!! I vote for #2. I'm sorry to see that I've been replaced as the "official" Petersen family photographer. I think it was Derek said that when he made it BIG I'd definitely have a job doing mug shots!! HA! Great pictures...beautiful family!!!

P.S_ I can't believe you had never been to Freestone..it is such a beautiful park..it's where we took our family pictures last year. Again, great pictures!

I like the first and the third one mostly because of the lighting. I think the second one looks good, but the lighting around your faces looks a little dark. I really like pictures that are brightly colored and even fuzzy with sunlight, but that might just be me. Good luck choosing and go with the one that makes you most excited to put on the wall. All of the others are super cute too!

I vote for #3 as is. Like others have said, #2 is pretty underexposed, but probably the best "expression" wise. But I don't think you'd be happy with an enlargement with the exposure off like that. Easy to fix in photoshop, though.

They all look great, but I think #2 is a little better, though it could be lighter. I think that can be managed... I love the one of Owen right after family shot #3...so maybe we could call that #4! I must also say I am a bit envious of that vicious 70-something weather you are having!! ...anyway, I hope all is well!! You all look great!!

I vote for two as well...but seriously, freezing? It was 15 degrees on Saturday morning in Montrose. You still have GREEN stuff down there :))

We miss you guys

I like #2 the best of the family photos. They look great!

2 and 3 are essentially the same picture, but three is lighter and that makes me like it more because you can see your faces better etc. great pictures! that was a good day to take some.

Ok, here's the thing: if you can photoshop Owen's head in # 2 into # 1, go with 1, TOTALLY...otherwise, 3 is best. But 1 would be perfect if a) Owen was looking at the camera and b) you cropped out the great view of bird poo on the railing. (If you have the originals and can send them, big as they are, I'll volunteer to try to photoshop them!!!) Beautiful, Aud. Absolutely beautiful. No disclaimers.

My vote is #2, but the lighting could be a bit lighter but not as light as 3. You are all looking at the camera and you look great!! Loved the pics.

I like #3 the best. Your pictures look great. We were at Freestone on Saturday too. Too bad we missed seeing each other.

I like #3 for the same reasons as everybody else, the lighting! We need to try out freestone park. I've heard great things about it!

How funny that you guys would do family pictures the same day we did it! You were right, way different outfits and setting! I like number 2 better. Owen is looking at the camera a little bit better. The rest of you look great!

Holy gorgeous family! #3 is my favorite. The lighting is fabulous, and you are all making similar expressions. I say it is perfect!! I really need to get my hands on Owen. He is so stinking adorable!!

I like #2! Super cute pictures.

I think you look the best in the first one, but since other people matter too, I would go with number 3. Cute family! I really like the red on you guys.

I like #2. You all look so cute. I love your hair!

I like #1. You all look great, and I think the lighting is perfect. Owen's not looking right at the camera, but I've given up on expecting all of us to look at the camera at the same time. As far as I'm concerned he's close enough- He's better than Atticus in all of our recent family pics. You guys all look great!

I'm gonna have to agree with most everyone else and vote for #2. I think most looks Owen like he's looking at the camera and you make it LOOK like you're a happy family, we all know better. he, he. Tanya

I think #3 is the winner. None of you are looking away from the camera, although some of your individual expressions in the other two are better. As a whole, you all look great. And I think the lighting is the best in this one, too.

I love the pics of your kids, and the couple shot...you always have to fit those into your family photo time!!

Lighting makes me say #1. If #2 could be lightened, then #2. If #3could be darkened, then #3. I basically think they are all adorable and you are in a win-win situation.

As others have said I vote for #2...but I would see if the lighting can be fixed...If not then 3. Oh and btw you are SMOKIN' babes! You and Derek are cute!

Like comment #29 means anything..but I like #3 unless #2 can be lightened up a tad. Cute and adorable pics!! Your hot! We had ours done there a couple years ago. Can't beat it!

I'd have to echo Kirsti's comment exactly. My first thought was dang Audrey's got to wear jewelry more often. those earrings really add. Your always gorgeous but somthing about that combination was HOT :) gets

Hey Audrey! You guys are so cute! I would have to go with #2. And if she has photo shop she can fix the bruise on that babys head and the lighting just a tinge. But you guys look awesome!
