Ode to Photoshop!

Photoshop, Photoshop, how I love thee!

You trim off the excess and make me look skinny.

Under eye circles? Ugly, crossed eyes?
It can all be fixed--even Aunt Bertha's huge thighs!

So, now when you see a picture on someone's website

You may have to wonder if everything is quite right.

Okay, so I don't know that Photoshop actually made me look skinny in this photo since I was facing the camera dead on, but thanks to A TON of help from my friend Jess, we have three head changes, glasses removed from the pocket, my sister in law's finger erased (Lauren's middle finger was looking a little suspect) all things removed from the wall, general brightening of all colors and under eye circles deleted and voila! We are a gorgeous group of people! Witness the before first and the after next.

For those of you wondering who this group is--it's Derek's family--his parents, their children, children's spouses and children's kids. We're almost getting too big for one shot. This is going to look so gorgeous on my Mother in Law's wall!!!

And, here's our little family portrait from that same shoot. Aaahhhh so sweet.

The pictures look wonderful. Tell Jessie she's a pro. I'm excited to see them. I sure wish I could see those adorable kidlings in real life more often.

Wow, that Jessica is GIFTED! :)

Hey, when you've got a gorgeous group to work with, you get gorgeous photos. Just next time, let's not cut off the feet! :) Thanks again for the treat...looking forward more than usual to date night this weekend!

Oh...one more thing...you're stunning, (and I do mean STUNNING,) so quit it with the fat thing, huh, beautiful? (I'd call you sexy, but I'll leave that to your husband...besides, with "gorgeous, stunning, and beautiful," I'm starting to sound mildly lesbian...)

I love the head switching trick, but only use it when absolutely necessary! It's hard to get more than two people looking at the camera pleasantly all at once!

The pictures look great and I am sure your mother-in-law will love them. Actually, if she is the comment above me like I think she is, then I already know it.

Crazy how big Derek's family is! How fun to have a group shot of all of you together!

I felt kind of like a kid going between the two pictures trying to find "what is different". Kind of a fun game. So tricky that photoshop. I wish I could photoshop my real life body sometimes.....

Great family shot! What a beautiful family. I wish I knew more tricks on photoshop myself. Such a great program.

Looks amazing! Thanks for all the time you put in Jessica. I apologize for the need to censure Lauren's "gesture". She's still adjusting to the high standards of the Petersen household.

impressive. I have had Photoshop Elements for nearly a year and am still trying to figure it out. :)

How did people look good before photoshop?? I have to wonder. The dark circle trick is my favorite. It's magical. . .near Disney for me. Your family one is great! It gets so tricky once you have five people to get to look at the same. You guys did great!
