Here is Eli!
He was born on the evening of October 7 after four pushes.
He is a tiny guy weighing in at only 6 pounds 9 ounces.
Both Owen and Ryanna are super thrilled to have him home and want to hold and kiss on him all the time. Owen comforts Eli when he cries by chanting, "It's okay baby. It's okay." Ryanna is already planning the birth of the next baby which she assures me is a sister.
Eli was tongue tied at birth, but we had that cut yesterday and are happy to report his nursing has greatly improved.
He has a tiny cry that several nurses mentioned sounded like a recorded cry that you would hear from a doll.
He loves to sleep most of the day away and remind us how cute he is in the wee hours of the night.
All in all--we're all in love.

CONGRATS! Isn't it amazing that someone that tiny is a living, breathing, (partially) independent human being? And amazing too that suddenly your little boy - formerly your "baby" - is now obviously such a BIG boy. :) Good luck getting some sleep! Congrats, again, to all of you! PS...it's true, most newborns really aren't all that cute, but this little guy is completely adorable! How'd you guys DO that?!

Welcome home! I'd been waiting to see pictures and hear how it went, so I'm glad you got a post out nice and quick. Thanks for your comments on my blog, it sucks for sure, but I'll survive. I'm so shocked Eli was only 6-9, such a change from Owen, I bet you're glad to be un-pregnant again. I always loved having my body back to myself after being so uncomfortable and cramped....course I WANT to be uncomfortable now...I'm never happy I suppose. :) Good luck with 3! AHHH!!

He's so cute, and I can't get over how skinny his legs are. Maybe it's just the shock of seeing bare legs when we're all freezing over here. Congratulation to all of you, and good luck. Keep us posted on how everything goes- I'll be looking to you for advice. You're paving the way:)
