I'm sure it matters. And they wouldn't take me. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I'm proud of you for actually doing it. Seriously. And it's TOTALLY ...Still laughing. Seriously. And it's TOTALLY a good deed; after all, you practically bled to death to help out some poor helpless sap who needs it, right? I did that once, too...and I mean once. The chick forgot me. My blood bag was twice the size of everyone else's; baseball sized and round. I saw it...and then passed out. Next thing I remember was having a really fat nose from bashing my face on the floor, being lifted by a couple orderlies so I could lie down. Turns out when they take waaaaay too much, THEY CAN'T EVEN USE IT. Total waste, including the 3 hours I was there. At least I was unconscious when they took out the needle, right? And I got 4 cookies and 3 OJs...

TOTALLY counts as a good deed. Thrilled or not, you still selflessly experienced torture so some texting teenager who gets herself into a wreck can text again. If so, I am truly impressed!
Give blood, make cake. Is there anything you can't do?
Next time you give blood call me, I'll go with you-- I don't mind it at all. Only problem is, that half the time my iron levels are too low for them. It's a gamble when I do go. Will they? Won't they??? Mine is usually 86/53, so super low. My favorite part is watching people take my blood pressure and assume they've done it wrong and try it again... cracks me up every time!

For me, the worst was donating plasma for Jami before her heart surgery. Sorry to say, I couldn't read all of your post. It was just a little too graphic for me. I had to close my eyes and go to my happy place. If you say the word "vein" near me I start getting nauseous. Anyway, I hope you made it through and didn't pass out. It's embarrassing!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15424890091984496113noreply@blogger.com
